![]() ![]() The laptop only has 8GB RAM so I'm not planning on any serious editing on it, but would like to ability to ingest and review footage. However, it crashes almost immediately if any kind of manipulation is made to the clip - even just scrolling through the timeline. Resolve 16 installed fine, and allows a project to be created, and media added to the timeline. I have a very similar problem on my Dell Latitude. Johngwheeler wrote:I'm adding this to same thread because it might be related to Dell laptops with Intel integrated GPUs. So again, lacking that specific laptop, I can't provide a specific suggestion. Some people have suggested using the latest Intel driver from the Intel site. The suggestion to search for an updated Dell driver was a good one. But not having access to such a machine, I can't know for sure. I think in a worse case, it would revert to generic Windows drivers, if it had to. This particular driver may have nothing to do with driving the display. I'm just not sure what it might do to your display system. However, since the Intel GPU is your only display driver, I'm hesitant to suggest this. And that generally seems to solve Resolve crashes, where Intel drivers are related to the crash. If you had an additional GPU in the system, the standard recommendation would be to search for the igdrcl64.dll file in this file path:Ĭ:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepositoryĪnd delete any instances you find. The Intel igdrcl64.dll driver is causing the crash. ![]() You're not actually able to do anything in the app, are you? ![]() > igdmcl64.It seems like Resolve is crashing when you launch. New version of DaVinci Resolve 17 starts to crash on Intel OpenCL driver. ![]()
